The North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity jumped out to an early lead on Marietta and captured a 13-0 victory on Thursday.
Nine runs in the first three innings allowed the North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity to put the game away early.
A wild pitch and an RBI single by Tiffany Watson during the first inning and a three-run single by Alyssa Brumelow and a passed ball in the second inning helped the North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity put some runs on the board early.
Brumelow racked up five RBIs on two hits for the North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity.
Marietta couldn’t get anything going as long as Shay Sullins was in the circle. Sullins held Marietta hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.
The North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity increased their lead with three runs in the third. A clutch scored Chelsey Casteel to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Watson’s single, scoring Riley Russell and Tori Nelson.
