North Paulding Wolfpack JV Get on Top of Calhoun Lady Jackets Early But Can’t Hang on in 7-6 Loss

The North Paulding Wolfpack JV jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 7-6 to Calhoun Lady Jackets on Saturday.

A wild pitch gave Calhoun Lady Jackets the lead in the fifth inning.

Jill Dixon went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the North Paulding Wolfpack JV. She doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.

Even though Kayla Watson allowed six runs over five innings she still recorded the victory. Watson struck out three, walked none and gave up 10 hits.

Emma Wilson was charged with the loss. She allowed seven runs in five innings, walked five and struck out three.

The bottom of the first saw the North Paulding Wolfpack JV take an early lead, 2-0. The North Paulding Wolfpack JV’s rally started when Baleigh Tibbitts singled. A stolen base then moved Tibbitts from first to second. The North Paulding Wolfpack JV pushed more runs across when Ashlee Bell scored on a sacrifice fly by Loren Walker.

The Calhoun Lady Jackets went up for good in the fifth, scoring two runs on an RBI triple by Alaina Reece.
