The North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity gets 5 strikeouts from Emma Wilson, win 9-0 over Columbus

August 29, 2015, 3:30 p.m.

An ace performance by freshman, Emma Wilson spurred the North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity to a 9-0 win in eight innings over Columbus on Saturday. Columbus’ lineup had no answer for Wilson. Columbus managed just one hit off of Wilson, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out five during her seven innings of work. A single by #5 in the seventh inning cost Wilson her no-hit bid.

The North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity beat Columbus thanks to 10 hits, including three extra base hits. The Wolfpack Varsity scored four runs in the seventh on an RBI single by Alyssa Brumelow, a sacrifice fly by Tiffany Watson, and a two-run home run by Tori Nelson.

Riley Russell, Brumelow, Abby Chandler and Nelson combined for six hits and five RBIs.

The North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity never trailed after scoring two runs in the third on a groundout by GB Day and a single by Russell. The fifth-inning burst enough to top Allatoona, 8-2

The North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity scored in the fifth on an RBI single by Tiffany Watson, a three-run home run by Alyssa Brumelow, and an RBI single by Bailey Noonan.

Watson racked up three RBIs on two hits for the North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity.

Caeley Anderson got it done in the circle on the way to a win. She allowed two runs over six innings. She struck out one, walked none and surrendered six hits.

The game was never in doubt after the first, as the North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity scored two runs on a two-run home run by Watson.

The North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity lose 4-1 to Calhoun

August 28, 2015, 6:45 p.m.

Tori Nelson had two extra base hits, but the North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity still fell to Calhoun 4-1 in eight innings on Friday.

#15 got the win in relief for Calhoun. #15 pitched three innings and allowed no runs.

Caeley Anderson took the loss for the North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity. She lasted seven innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.

The top of the first saw Calhoun take an early lead, 1-0. #1 kicked things off for Calhoun with a single. A single by #10 then moved Barnes from first to second. #3 singled, plating Barnes.

The North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity scored their only run of the game on a solo home run by Nelson in the first inning.
Calhoun never trailed after scoring one run in the third on a sacrifice fly by #1. Calhoun piled on two more runs in the top of the sixth. #4 started the inning with a single, scoring #7. That was followed up by #1’s single, bringing home #21.

The North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity tops Creekview in back-and-forth affair, 6-5

August 28, 2015, 5:00 p.m.

The North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity and Creekview exchanged the lead seven times on Friday, but the North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity ended up on top with a 6-5 win in eight innings over Creekview.

The Wolfpack finally managed to grab the lead after a strong sixth inning. An error scored Bailey Noonan gave the North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity the lead for good.

Alyssa Brumelow racked up three RBIs on two hits for the North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity. She homered in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Emma Wilson got the win in relief for the North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity. Wilson pitched 1 1/3 innings and allowed no runs.

The bottom of the first saw Creekview take an early lead, 2-0. A double by #15, bringing home #11 started the inning off. Creekview added more runs when #15 scored on an RBI single by #10.

Tiffany Watson’s solo blast helped the North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity score four runs in the fifth.

The lead was the Wolfpack’s to lose after the sixth inning. More runs came home on an error.
