Early lead gives the North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity victory over McEachern, 13-3

The North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity jumped out to an early lead on McEachern and captured a 13-3 victory on Wednesday.

Eight runs in the first three innings allowed the North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity to put the game away early. An RBI triple by Tiffany Watson and a passed ball during the first inning supplied the early offense for the North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity. Watson racked up two RBIs on two hits for the North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity.

Shay Sullins got the win for the North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity. She allowed three runs over five innings. Sullins struck out five, walked five and gave up one hit.

The North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity tacked on another six runs in the third. GB Day started the inning with a single. That was followed up by Tori Nelson’s double, bringing home Day.

Three runs in the bottom of the third helped McEachern close its deficit to 8-3. A wild pitch and a two-run home run by #10 set off McEachern rally. Sullins ended the inning by getting #23 to fly out.

The North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity increased their lead with four runs in the sixth. The inning looked promising, as Watson singled, plating Alyssa Brumelow to kick things off.
