From now until March 15, coaches, parents, and fans from across the state are nominating high school aged student-athletes of every grade in every sport who have either given back/gotten involved in their schools and/or communities, or have overcome difficult circumstances in some way.
The student-athletes that are nominated are eligible to win Positive Athlete awards for their sport AND corporately funded scholarships at both the county- and state-wide level. Ultimately, the 28 most positive high school athletes in the state are crowned June 2016 at the College Football Hall of Fame by Hines Ward and other high-profile professional athletes representing the Braves, Falcons, Hawks, Dream, UGA, and Georgia Tech.
Let’s get as many of our student-athletes nominated as possible. Twenty-eight will win the top award, but even the nomination is something that our student-athletes can put on their resumes, job applications, and college applications.
To learn about the qualifications and to nominate a student-athlete, visit the Georgia Positive Athlete website.
If you have any questions about the program, be sure to contact Ryan Pederson, he is happy to help you clear up any questions, comments or concerns.
