North Paulding JV makes the most of 6 hits in 3-2 victory over Hillgrove Lady Hawks
North Paulding JV and Hillgrove each put runners in scoring position on Thursday, but North capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 3-2 win at North Paulding High School. Hillgrove Lady Hawks out-hit North Paulding Wolfpack JV seven to six, but Hillgrove Lady Hawks stranded six runners on base. The fact that the Wolfpack grouped all of their runs into the third inning helped them take advantage of their hits.
Hannah McGill got a hit in each of her three at bats. She singled in the first, third, and fifth innings.
Emma Mobley got it done in the circle on the way to a win. She allowed two runs over six innings. Mobley struck out three, walked one and gave up seven hits.
The top of the second saw Hillgrove Lady Hawks take an early lead, 2-0. M Hunt started the rally for Hillgrove Lady Hawks with a double. A single by S. Scott then moved Hunt from second to third. R. Akery singled, scoring Hunt and Scott. North never trailed after scoring three runs in the third on an RBI double by Haylee Folds.
