North Paulding bested by South Paulding comeback, 7-6
North looked to be in control, up by six runs in the fourth inning, but South Paulding came back to grab a 7-6 win on Wednesday.
Brooke Whittemore racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Wolfpack. She homered in the second inning. Even though Natalie Hardy allowed six runs over seven innings she still recorded the victory. She struck out two, walked one and surrendered nine hits.
South Paulding was sparked by Jaime Beaty and Kiera Cooper, who teamed up for five hits and two RBIs.
In the top of the first, North Paulding grabbed the early lead, 1-0. The Wolfpack’s threat began with a single by Caeley Anderson. An error then moved Anderson from first to second. Sullins singled, scoring Anderson.
