North Paulding tops Kennesaw Mountain in back-and-forth affair, 4-3
North Paulding and Kennesaw Mountain volleyed the lead four times on Thursday, but the Wolfpack came out on top for a 4-3 win on Thursday.
North Paulding took the lead in the sixth inning and held on for the victory. An error scored Hannah McGill and gave North Paulding the lead for good. The Wolfpack was led by Emma Wilson’s hitting. Wilson went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. She homered in the fourth inning.
Caeley Anderson got the win for the North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity. She allowed three runs over seven innings. Anderson struck out five, walked none and gave up 10 hits.
Haley Glass ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She lasted six innings, walked two, struck out eight, and allowed four runs.
The bottom of the first saw North Paulding take an early lead, 2-0. After Tori Nelson singled, Alyssa Brumelow tripled, scoring Nelson.
