Cherokee falls 11-1 at the hands of North Paulding
North Paulding beat Cherokee on Wednesday 11-1 in seven innings.
Alyssa Brumelow racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Wolfpack. She homered in the fourth inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and singled in the seventh inning.
North relied on Caeley Anderson to eat up innings en route to the win. Anderson allowed no earned runs, three hits and no walks while striking out one over seven innings of work.
North Paulding never trailed after scoring three runs in the fourth on a three-run home run by Brumelow. North increased their lead with three runs in the fifth. Brumelow started the inning with a double, scoring Loren Walker. That was followed up by Emma Wilson’s double, bringing home Marisa Pierce.
North Paulding built upon their lead with five runs in the seventh. A double by Shay Sullins ignited the offense, bringing home Pierce and Brooke Whittemore. That was followed up by Meagan Coltrane’s three-run home run, scoring EJ Edesui and Wilson.
