North Paulding Wolfpack drops 8-2 game to Hillgrove
Despite a big day at the dish from Alyssa Brumelow, who finished 2-4, the North Paulding Wolfpack lost 8-2 to Hillgrove on Monday.
Gracie Hogg got the win for Hillgrove . She allowed two runs over seven innings. She struck out seven, walked two and surrendered six hits.
The game was never in doubt after the first, as Hillgrove scored two runs on a ground out by Eryn Render and an RBI single by Adara Dale.
After pushing across two runs in the bottom of the fourth, North Paulding faced just a 3-2 deficit. A solo home run by Brumelow and a solo home run by Emma Wilson triggered the Wolfpack’s comeback, but Hillgrove managed to stop the rally.
North Paulding Wolfpack pitchers team up for no-hitter in 9-0 victory over McEachern
Two pitchers joined forces to throw a no-hitter for North Paulding in a 9-0 victory in five innings over McEachern on Tuesday.
Emma Wilson was in control in the circle. Wilson held McEachern hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked four and struck out seven.
The offense exploded for the Wolfpack in the fourth. In the inning North Paulding scored six runs. The Wolfpack scored in the fourth on an RBI double by Lou Bell, a three-run home run by Brooke Whittemore, a two-run home run by Alyssa Brumelow, and a sacrifice fly by Shay Sullins. Whittemore racked up three RBIs on one hit for North. North Paulding went up for good in the second, scoring two runs on a sacrifice fly by Bell.
North Paulding lose 9-6 to North Cobb (Kennesaw, GA)
Emma Wilson collected three hits, but the Wolfpack still fell to North Cobb 9-6 in seven innings on Wednesday. Two of North Paulding’s runs were scored thanks to timely hitting by Wilson. She homered in the third inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.
North Cobb was sparked by Jasmine Copeland and Kathryn Bywaters, who teamed up for five hits and two RBIs.
The top of the first saw North Paulding take an early lead, 1-0. Brooke Whittemore kicked things off for the Wolfpack with a single. A stolen base then moved Whittemore from first to second.
North Paulding matched their one-run second inning with one more in the third. In the second, the Wolfpack scored on an RBI single by Caeley Anderson, bringing home Lou Bell.
The game’s last lead went to North Cobb thanks to a fifth inning rally that saw five runs cross the plate on a two-run double by Julie Sanderlin, two ground outs, and an RBI single by Bywaters.
