North Paulding Wolfpack Varsity Falls To Woodstock In Low-Scoring Affair
Both teams were strong on the mound on Monday, but Woodstock was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over North Paulding Wolfpack on Monday. Emma Wilson started the game for North and recorded 15 outs.
North Paulding lost despite out-hitting Woodstock six to one.
The Wolfpack took an early lead in the second inning. North scored one run when Harlie Richardson singled with zero outs in the second inning.
Woodstock took the lead for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Sofia Tunon homered off of Emma Wilson, driving in three runs.
Laura Bishop earned the win for Woodstock. She went seven innings, surrendering two runs, six hits, striking out eight, and walking one. Wilson took the loss for North Paulding. She tossed five innings, surrendering three runs, one hit, and striking out seven.
EJ Edusei and Richardson each drove in one run to lead North Paulding.
Tunon led Woodstock with one hit in three at bats. Woodstock was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Tunon had the most chances in the field with nine.
