Wilson Drives In Seven As North Paulding Wolfpack Defeats South Paulding
North Paulding Wolfpack defeated South Paulding 13-4 on Wednesday thanks in part to Emma Wilson, who drove in seven runners. Wilson drove in runs on a grand slam in the second and a double in the third.
North earned the victory despite allowing South Paulding to score three runs in the third inning. South Paulding’s big inning was driven by a walk , a wild pitch , and a groundout by Delanie Huddle.
South Paulding took an early lead in the first inning. An error scored one run for South Paulding. The Wolfpack took the lead for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second a runner stole home and Emma Wilson hit a grand slam off of Kati Mills, driving in four runs.
North Paulding scored five runs in the third inning as well. The big inning was thanks to a stolen base , a single by Meadow Villar, and a double by Wilson.
Jill Dixon earned the win for North Paulding. She pitched three innings, surrendering zero runs, zero hits, striking out three, and walking zero.
Haylee Folds started the game for North Paulding. She went two innings, surrendering four runs, one hit, and striking out three.
North had nine hits in the game. Villar, Harlie Richardson, and Wilson each collected multiple hits for the Wolfpack. Darbi Lively led South Paulding with one hit in three at bats.
