North Paulding JV Grabs Lead In Third Inning For Victory Over North Cobb
North Paulding JV defeated North Cobb 12-6 on Tuesday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at two with North Paulding batting in the top of the third when Addyson Shireman singled off of Lee, driving in one run.
North Paulding earned the victory despite allowing North Cobb to score four runs in the third inning. North Cobb’s big inning was driven by a error, a home run by Morgan, and a error.
North Cobb knotted the game up at two in the bottom of the second inning. North Cobb scored two runs when Rainey singled with two outs in the second inning.
North Paulding scored five runs in the fourth inning. The Wolfpack’s big inning was driven by a double by Natalie Haggard, a double by Anna Garren, and a single.
Brook Walker earned the win for North Paulding. She threw two innings, allowing two runs, three hits, striking out two, and walking one. Lee took the loss for North Cobb. She went three and a third innings, allowing nine runs, five hits, and striking out one.
North Paulding had seven hits in the game. Shireman and Walker each collected multiple hits for North Paulding Wolfpack JV. Walker and Shireman each collected two hits to lead the Wolfpack. North Paulding stole five bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Haley Hamby led the way with two.
