North Paulding Takes Victory Over Lassiter, 6-2

North Paulding defeated Lassiter 6-2 in Game Two on Thursday. North Paulding scored three runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught by North was led by Emma Wilson and Jill Dixon, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Haylee Folds toed the rubber for North Paulding. She lasted six innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out three and walking one.

Blake Neleman was on the mound for Lassiter. She allowed nine hits and six runs over seven innings, striking out five.

North totaled nine hits in the game. Wilson, Hannah McGill, and Meadow Villar each had multiple hits for the Wolfpack. Wilson led North with three hits in four at bats. The Wolfpack was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Ashlee Bell had the most chances in the field with six, including a catch at the fence to close out the 6th inning.

North Paulding Takes A Tough Blow From Lassiter

Thursday was a long day for North Paulding, falling to Lassiter 10-1. In the first inning, Lassiter got their offense started. Lassiter scored one run when Blake Neleman singled.

North knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the first inning, when Haylee Folds singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. Lassiter pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Avery Webster doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring three runs.

Lassiter scored three runs in the sixth inning. The big inning for Lassiter came thanks to a walk by Neleman and a single by Sydney Carter. Neleman led things off on the rubber for Lassiter. She went five innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out five.

Jill Dixon was on the mound for North. She allowed seven hits and seven runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking one. Emma Wilson threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

North Paulding tallied four hits. Folds and Emma Morris all collected multiple hits for the Wolfpack. Morris and Folds each collected two hits to lead North Paulding.

Lassiter totaled ten hits in the game. Webster, Neleman, and Carter each had multiple hits for Lassiter. Webster went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Lassiter in hits.
